Get Involved!
You'll get the most out of your membership if you invest time in helping Chapter committees stay active and innovative. Our committees implement the strategic plan for the chapter. From programs to publications to legislative activity, committee members provide the strength that enables the Chapter to meet the needs of its member communities in our area. Join a committee based on your interest and time availability.

Business Partner Council
Acts as a liaison between the CAI Austin business partner membership and the CAI board of directors for the purpose of understanding what types of networking events, socials and education is of most value to this group. At least once annually provide a member-to-member event which will provide business networking opportunities, and raise funds for the local chapter.
CAVL Council
Acts as a liaison between the CAI Austin Community Association Volunteer Leader (CAVL) membership and the chapter’s board of directors for the purpose of enhancing the value of this group’s membership.
Community Service
Coordinates membership to benefit Austin charities and the community, in order to maximize the visibility and public awareness of CAI Austin and to provide a vehicle for community service.
Editorial
Ensure our printed and online publications that have articles submitted by members or third parties contain the most informative, appropriate, accurate and timely educational and reference material benefiting our three membership groups.
Education/Programming
Provides timely educational and informational programs for the membership of the chapter. The education should include topics specialized for each interest group.
Fun Fundraising Event
At least once annually provide a fun member-to-member event which will provide business networking opportunities, and raise funds for the local chapter.
HOA Hotline
Advocate the use of best practices, professionalism and integrity by community association leaders and those who serve them by responding to inquiries to the Hotline.
Membership
Take the lead role in the recruitment and retention of members within CAI and assist in the coordination of special events to promote membership as requested by the board of directors.
Sponsorship
Actively develop and direct an annual fundraising campaign to achieve board approved income goals.
Involvement in a CAI Austin committee is a benefit of membership, only current members are permitted to sign up for committee service.
